If you have achieved a trade qualification in Australia and plan to apply for a skilled visa, you will need to undertake the Job Ready Program (JRP) offered by Trades Recognition Australia (TRA). Who Needs to Apply?

- Overseas students who have done a CRICOS-registered trade qualification in Australia

- Applicants applying for a comprehensive skill assessment for GSM visas (189, 190, or 491)

Qualifying trades occupations are:

- Automobile Mechanic

- Electrician.

The Four Steps of JRP:

- Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA)

- Job Ready Employment (JRE) – 1725 hours in 12 months

- Job Ready Workplace Assessment (JRWA)

- Job Ready Final Assessment (JRFA)
